KEY STRUCTURAL CHALLENGE
- Develop addition to 1930s-vintage structure, reinforcing as necessary, while maintaining character of original architecture
STRUCTURE The building sits on shallow spread footings, with masonry bearing walls and steel roof trusses.
FACILITIES This GOP Limited-designed addition/renovation includes space for stacks and informal reading areas. The scope included a new roof and windows, as well as reconfiguration of parking spaces and parking lot entry.
