Frank appointed to Cincinnati Public Schools Committee
CINCINNATI, Ohio - October 12, 2006
Michael A. Frank, President and Chairman of GOP Limited, was appointed to the Local School Decision Making Committee (LSDMC) at Schiel Primary School. Frank is the Co-Chairperson and will serve the committee through October 1, 2008.
The LSDMC is the primary governing body of each individual school in the Cincinnati Public School District. The 12-member committees are made up of representatives from the teaching and technical staff, parents, and other representatives from the community; Frank serves as a representative from the community. The committee develops the school's vision and mission, makes recommendations and sets goals for the school, approves the local school budget and budget requests, and selects the school principal when a vacancy occurs.
GOP Limited is a Cincinnati-based 10-person structural engineering firm, certified as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE). Frank joined the firm in 1977, became a partner in 1988, vice president in 1994, and president in 2004. Since 1921, the firm has provided structural engineering services for numerous projects in the Greater Cincinnati area and across the country. Projects include institutional, commercial, industrial, educational, religious, and residential buildings.
