Wirth tapped for Cincinnati Horticultural Society's Marketing Committee
CINCINNATI, Ohio - February 2, 2007
Donna S. Wirth, Partner at GOP Limited, joined the Cincinnati Horticultural Society's Marketing Committee. She will help develop and implement a marketing plan for the Cincinnati Flower Show, the only North American flower and garden show endorsed by the Royal Horticultural Society of Great Britain, producer of the world-renowned Chelsea Flower Show. The Cincinnati show features world-class exhibits, social events, gardener's and plant markets, a lecture series, and tours.
The Cincinnati Horticultural Society was established in 1989 to produce world-class horticultural exhibitions. The Flower Show is an example of that excellence. Another of the Society's goals is to produce exceptional educational opportunities and to benefit organizations that promote the quality of life through horticulture. Ongoing programs include Emanuel Center Reading Garden, Children's Potting Program, 4-H Clubs in the Cincinnati Area, YWCA's Battered Women's Shelter Respite Garden, and Children's Hospital Medical Center Respite Garden. In addition, the Society contributes to regional green space improvements including Flower Power, Over-the-Rhine Miracle Mile, and Regional Gardener's Recognition Programs.
GOP Limited is a Cincinnati-based structural engineering design firm and certified as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE). Wirth joined the firm in 1994 and became a Partner in 2001. She is the first female, non-engineer partner in the long-established firm, and responsible for its business functions. Wirth is a Past President of Greater Cincinnati Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) and of American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), Cincinnati Region. She resides in the Mt. Washington neighborhood of Greater Cincinnati.
