Murray Elected President of Society for Design Administration, Cincinnati Chapter

CINCINNATI, Ohio - January 2, 2007

The Cincinnati Chapter of the Society for Design Administrators (SDA) elected Gina Murray, as its President for 2007. Murray is Secretary and Bookkeeper for GOP Limited, a Cincinnati-based structural engineering design firm that's certified as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE).

SDA consists over 800 members from US and Canadian architectural, engineering, construction, landscape, and interior design firms. The organization's mission is to enhance the professional development and personal growth of its members. It accomplishes this through a host of networking opportunities and business education resources.

The Cincinnati Chapter SDA is the local source of networking information and resources through monthly meetings with business education programs, as well as workshops and seminars. A recent seminar was a "Fraud Awareness Workshop."

Each year, the Cincinnati Chapter joins 80 other SDA chapters across the US and Canada in presenting CANstruction®, an event and competition designed to fight hunger. Teams, led by architects and engineers, design and build giant sculptures made entirely out of canned foods. The sculptures are judged, awards are given, and the exhibit is open to the general public. At the exhibition's close, all food is donated to local food banks.

MISSION  GOP Limited's mission is to provide each client with the highest-quality and most innovative problem-solving structural engineering services available in the Midwest. We consistently deliver those services in effective, efficient ways that make us easy to do business with and respected in our field.
