KEY STRUCTURAL CHALLENGE

  • Keep existing facility operational throughout construction process

STRUCTURE/SOLUTION   Coordinate construction stages to keep operations functioning with minimal downtime.

FACILITIES   The $6.2 million project includes a one-story, conventionally framed office facility and a 10,000 square foot addition to the pre-engineered warehouse building that provides space to support the utility's service operations. The energy-efficient design includes geothermal heating and cooling, heat recovery units, a well-insulated building, and energy-efficient light fixtures. Additionally, there is a lobby where the company's history of energy-efficient products is displayed, as well as a separate parking lot and building entrance to a community room that civic organizations can access after hours.
