KEY STRUCTURAL CHALLENGE

  • Frame canopy of glass block tower with supports that look like soda straws
  • Integrate tower and canopy into main structure

STRUCTURE   The one-story building sits on shallow spread foundations with wood bearing walls and wood trusses.

FACILITIES   The entry is through a glass block tower into dining rooms with curving walls and clean contemporary lines.

GOP Limited did the structural design on a Frisch's in Roselawn, Ohio (pictured below) in the 1950s.
