KEY STRUCTURAL CHALLENGE
- Provide structural engineering services to develop conceptual foundation designs for evaluating the three options discussed in the soil investigation report for the multiple buildings and additions involved in the project
- Provide structural engineering design of the selected foundation system, as well as for other items
SOLUTION/FACILITIES In the $6.6 million wastewater treatment plant improvement project, GOP Limited provided structural design for the foundations of the multiple building additions. A detailed design was developed for the equipment frame, a reinforced concrete frame within the Sludge Operations Building. In addition, structural designs were provided for the centrifuge support platform within the Sludge Operations Building, foundations of the Sludge Operations Building and Alum Building, and Odor Control equipment pad.
